Achieve Something Great
Join Liverpool Hospital’s Postnatal Ward as a Registered Midwife and be part of a team that truly makes a difference. You’ll work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment that values your contribution and fosters continuous learning. Every day, you’ll have the opportunity to deliver holistic, patient-centred care during one of the most transformative moments in a family’s life. At Liverpool Hospital, we are committed to your professional growth, offering access to ongoing education, mentorship, and clear career pathways in a leading healthcare facility dedicated to excellence in maternity care.
Are You the Right Fit?
We are seeking a Registered Midwife who is passionate about postnatal care and dedicated to supporting families during this special time. You will provide compassionate, family-centred care that is empathetic, respectful, and holistic. Your strong clinical expertise and sound judgment will ensure confident decision-making in areas such as postnatal care, breastfeeding support, and maternal and neonatal health. Exceptional communication and teamwork skills are essential, as you will build positive relationships with patients and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills while maintaining high standards of care. A commitment to professional growth through ongoing education, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement initiatives is vital. Above all, you will advocate for patient needs and deliver inclusive care that respects cultural diversity.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
1. Postnatal wards can be fast-paced and unpredictable. How do you prioritise care and maintain effective communication with patients and the multidisciplinary team during busy periods?
2. What strategies do you use to identify and respond to early signs of maternal or neonatal complications? Please provide an example from your clinical experience.
If you’d like more details, we’re here to help.
