Are You the Right Fit? 
You are a passionate and experienced midwife who is committed to providing exceptional woman-centred care and building meaningful relationships with women and families throughout their maternity journey. You thrive in continuity of care models, value autonomy in practice, and are dedicated to achieving positive outcomes for women, babies and their families. 

  • Recent birthing unit experience with well-developed clinical skills across the maternity continuum. 
  • A minimum of two years' postgraduate midwifery experience preferred and confidence working in a dynamic maternity setting. 
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to provide compassionate and individualised care. 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a Midwifery Group Practice and multidisciplinary team environment. 
  • Passion for continuity of care and supporting women to make informed choices throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. 
 

Selection Criteria

  • Do you have current Authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Please elaborate on how your skills and experiences align with the role requirements, and highlight what you will bring to add value to the South Western Sydney Local Health District?
  • Highlight the main factors driving your interest in this position and express what aspects of joining the South Western Sydney Local Health District excite you the most?
  • Do you have a current Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2)? if you hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
