Achieve Something Great
PEACH High Risk Model of Care will offer continuity midwifery care to a select group of high-risk antenatal women to provide seamless care co-ordination with other multidisciplinary teams throughout the antenatal journey. It will be an alternative option of care for high-risk antenatal women and will operate parallel to the existing maternity and obstetric models of care currently available at Campbelltown Hospital. Clinicians working within this model provide antenatal care to women when known to Campbelltown Hospital from conception until birth. PEACH is a collaborative model aiming to: •Build trusting relationships with women •Flexible, individualised care that meets the woman’s needs for information, education, and support •Provide seamless care co-ordination with other multidisciplinary teams, within Campbelltown hospital and SSWLHD. •Follow up support postnatally when required The philosophy of this model is woman-centred care which involves the service being responsive to the woman and family’s individual needs and pregnancy journey. It provides a joint midwifery/obstetric model of care by known midwife.
Are You the Right Fit?
This model seeks midwives who are highly competent in delivering complex and advanced antenatal care and who demonstrate strong clinical judgement across a broad scope of practice. You bring expertise in speculum examinations, ultrasound scanning for fetal position, mechanical ripening, CTG interpretation, and are EPAS‑ and FMAU‑competent. You confidently interpret pathology, ultrasound, and genetics reports to inform safe, evidence‑based clinical decision‑making. You are also skilled in providing compassionate, woman‑centred bereavement care, supporting women and families through complex and emotionally challenging circumstances with sensitivity and professionalism.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
1. Please outline your competency in providing complex and advanced midwifery care in the antenatal space.
2. Please outline your level of competence and experience in providing advanced antenatal and midwifery care, including the following clinical skills and areas of practice:
Speculum examination
Ultrasound scanning for fetal position,
Mechanical cervical ripening
EPAS competency
FMAU competency
CTG monitoring and interpretation,
Interpretation of pathology, ultrasound, and genetics results
Bereavement care
3. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
4. Current Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2)? if you hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
