Achieve Something Great
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people facing complex challenges? Join our dynamic Youth Health Service team and play a pivotal role in supporting adolescents and young adults aged 12–24, including those who are vulnerable, marginalised, or experiencing significant social, mental health, or health-related issues. This is your opportunity to work with a diverse cohort where your expertise in assessment, intervention, and outcome evaluation can create tangible, positive change. You’ll collaborate with nurses, medical officers, social workers, and community partners to deliver holistic, inclusive, and accessible care that truly puts young people at the centre.
Are You the Right Fit?
We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychologist who is committed to providing youth-friendly, evidence-based care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. If you’re energised by innovation, motivated by purpose, and ready to contribute to a service that values inclusivity and impact, we’d love to hear from you. Your ability to engage with young people, work effectively within a team, and deliver high-quality interventions will be key to helping us achieve our mission of improving health and wellbeing for vulnerable youth. We currently have two temporary positions available: one until January 2027 and another until August 2026
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
1. Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, including completion of an accredited four-year psychology sequence (or approved overseas equivalent)
2. Youth-focused clinical experience – proven experience providing assessment, intervention, and outcome evaluation for young people aged 12-24, with the ability to work independently and deliver compassionate, client centred care to diverse populations.
3. Collaborative Communication – Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated success working within multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals.
4. Quality Improvement Experience – Knowledge of quality improvement processes, with practical experience contributing to or leading quality initiatives
5. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
