The purpose of this position is to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victim‑survivors of sexual assault by delivering culturally informed, respectful and responsive care. This role ensures Aboriginal clients feel safe, heard, and supported. Across the broader service system, the role contributes to reconciliation, health equity, and meaningful reform in responses to sexual violence. 

 
SWSLHD operates its services across the traditional lands of the Dharawal, Darug and Gundungurra peoples, in strong partnership with local Aboriginal communities to deliver better, culturally responsive health care, led by our Aboriginal Health services.We are a district that is committed to supporting you grow and develop your skills. Selection Criteria

  • Relevant qualification/ registration in one of the disciplines outlined in the position description.
  • Describe your connection to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities and how you have used your cultural knowledge, relationships and lived experience to provide culturally safe and respectful support to Aboriginal people in your work.
  • Describe your experience supporting people affected by sexual assault, trauma, or other complex issues.
  • Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
