About the Opportunity 
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Dietetics Department at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals in a Temporary Part or Full Time Dietitian role. This is a rotational position with opportunity to work in a variety of clinical areas. Our department provides services to inpatients and outpatients, in adults and paediatrics. Initial allocations will account for clinician experience and clinical demand. 
These positions are temporary with varying end dates in 2026 with the possibility of extension at same/reduced hours.


What You'll be Doing
This position is responsible for providing patient centered and high quality nutrition services to patients in SWSLHD including providing nutritional care to patients as per caseload; provide and participate in education and evaluation; supervise students as appropriate; and participate in ongoing professional development, quality improvement and research as required.

 

Where You'll Be Working 

Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, work together to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the Macarthur region.

Campbelltown Hospital, a leading tertiary facility, offers a wide range of services including cardiology, maternity, palliative care, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine, and aged-care services. It also features specialised Mental Health and Cancer facilities. Camden Hospital complements these services by specialising in care for older persons with acute or chronic health conditions, including rehabilitation, palliative care, geriatric evaluation and management, and psychogeriatric care.

 

 The hospitals share a close-knit, community-focused team dedicated to delivering safe, quality, and compassionate care. The ongoing multi-million dollar redevelopment at Campbelltown Hospital will further enhance its capabilities, introducing advanced equipment and amenities.

 

Together, these sister hospitals ensure that the diverse needs of the community are met with excellence and innovation in healthcare.

  1. Post graduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics as recognized by the Dietitians Association of Australia.
  2. Relevant clinical experience and good knowledge of current Dietetics Practices.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group education skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability and commitment to quality improvement.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the team.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and evidence based practice.
  7. Excellent computer skills including CBORD.
