Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). At least 3 years relevant full-time equivalent post registration experience and approved post graduate nursing/midwifery qualifications in a field relevant to the specialty field, or such other qualification, or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation.
Demonstrated currency of practice and competence in assessing children and their families in relation to their health and social needs including an understanding of Out of Home Care and the Children and Young Person’s Act.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge working collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and with other service providers including Child and Family nurses, Allied health staff, General Practitioners, Child and Family Health Tertiary referral services and negotiation skills necessary to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
