The Emergency Department at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is seeking motivated and customer focused Administration Officers (Level 3) to join a fast paced and high demand clinical environment. This role is pivotal in supporting the day to day operations of the Emergency Department and contributes directly to patient safety, patient experience, and the smooth flow of care.
The Administration Officer provides frontline administrative support, including patient registration, data entry, managing enquiries, and supporting clinical staff in a busy and often unpredictable setting. The role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, respond calmly to changing priorities, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
A strong customer service focus is essential. This position involves regular interaction with patients, families, clinical teams, and other hospital departments, often during stressful or emotionally charged situations. The ideal candidate will be genuine, professional, empathetic, and confident in communicating clearly and respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
The Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Administration Officers must have flexibility to work across a rotating roster including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and public holidays. This role suits individuals who thrive in a team environment, work well under pressure, and take pride in delivering high quality administrative and customer service support in a clinical setting.
