This role provides an opportunity to support corporate governance functions and play a key role in shaping how the district monitors and manages its legislative obligations. The successful candidate will manage compliance systems, provide accurate and timely advice, communicate legislative changes, coordinate reporting requirements, and deliver project work as needed. Working closely with a small, collaborative team, you will contribute to shared outcomes while gaining valuable learning and development opportunities. The role also involves building strong relationships and networks across the organisation to support an effective legislative compliance function. Flexible work arrangements are available (subject to approval), including flexible start and finish times and hybrid working, with attendance at Liverpool required a minimum of three days per week.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to research and understand a broad range of topics, applying sound judgment and critical thinking to interpret and respond to legislative and compliance matters. A high level of attention to detail is essential, together with strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information and advice to a range of stakeholders.
