About the Opportunity
Liverpool Hospital Dietetics Department is looking for an experienced dietitian specialised in oncology to join the team. This position works closely with the Dietetics team and the multidisciplinary oncology team.

In addition to clinical direct patient care, the successful applicant also leads and supports various activities, such as research, quality improvement project and service development.

We are looking for someone who is independent, work well within a multidisciplinary team and able to manage multiple competing priorities. The specific work days are Thursday and Friday.

 

 

What You'll be Doing
This position is responsible for providing patient centered and high quality nutrition services to clients in Liverpool Hospital including applying high level clinical skills to patients as per caseload/clinical specialty; supervising students and dietitians as appropriate; and participating in ongoing professional development.

The position will also provide leadership in quality improvement, service development and evaluation, and support educational activities related to their clinical expertise.

The position supports the head of department with advice on clinical service development, practice and redesign in response to demand and client needs as per caseload/clinical specialty; and advocates across the local health district.

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.

The ongoing $830 million redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct is transforming the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation. This redevelopment will expand clinical services, enhance research and teaching facilities, and introduce state-of-the-art equipment and amenities.

  1. Post graduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics giving eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
