Achieve Something Great 
Join Liverpool Hospital’s Interventional Radiology department and play a key role in delivering innovative clinical research that helps shape the future of patient care. As a Clinical Trials Coordinator, you will support a diverse portfolio of investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored trials, working alongside interventional radiologists, nurses, radiographers and research professionals within a leading tertiary referral and teaching hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity to coordinate clinical trials from study start-up through to close-out, contribute to the introduction of new devices and treatment approaches, and help provide patients with access to cutting-edge healthcare advancements. 

 

Are You the Right Fit? 
The ideal candidate will be an organised and detail-oriented research professional with demonstrated experience coordinating clinical trials in a healthcare or research environment. Success in this role requires sound knowledge of ICH-GCP, ethical and regulatory requirements, experience preparing Ethics and Governance submissions, conducting feasibility assessments, supporting study budget negotiations, and implementing clinical trials from study start-up through to close-out, including participant recruitment and management.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, with the ability to work collaboratively with sponsors, clinicians, nurses, pharmacists, scientists and other health professionals. Experience managing study documentation, case report forms, clinical specimens, data collection and query resolution, while maintaining compliance with regulatory and local requirements, will be highly regarded. A commitment to continuous learning, mentoring others and contributing to the growth of clinical research within the workplace will be highly valued.


Selection Criteria 
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated minimum 2 years experience in the field of research and/or clinical trials.
  • Well developed interpersonal, consultation, facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in the ethical requirements for research including the NHMRC National Statement and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to mentor members of the research team to enhance professional development.
  • Computer skills including proficiency in the use of MS Word and Excel, email, and understanding of database utilisation such as electronic Case Report Forms (eCRF).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve departmental goals with a customer focused approach.
  • Ability to engage with all stakeholders involved with clinical trial management to meet contractual and protocol requirements.
