The Maternal Foetal Medicine (MFMU) is an outpatient service that offers expertise
As the CMS2 the successful applicant will:
• Provide provision of leadership in the development of the clinical
• Participate in the teaching of nursing, midwifery and medical students and
• Participating in the teaching and mentoring of inexperienced staff. The position reports to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Service via the Midwifery Unit Manager, CC1B and the Nurse Manager for Women’s & Children’s Health.
The position is Monday- Friday day shifts 0830-1700
What You'll be Doing
The Clinical Midwifery Specialist Grade 2 will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred specialist care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

Over 3000 families’ access pregnancy and birth care at Liverpool Hospital each year. Liverpool Hospital is a major teaching hospital and active research programs in each of our specialties ensure that the staff we train and the care we provide continues to be evidence based and world class. The Liverpool Women’s and Newborn Health service is a large dynamic organisation demonstrating;
· The highest vaginal birth rate compared to all Level 6 services within the Women’s and Children’s HealthCare Australia Collaborative.
· The highest rate of unassisted vaginal births for Level 6 service within the Women’s and Children’s HealthCare Australia Collaborative.
· The lowest rate of Caesarean section for a Level 6 service within the Women’s and Children’s HealthCare Australia Collaborative.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of the employees specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
