About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about supporting women and families during one of the most important times in their lives? Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is seeking compassionate and dedicated Assistants in Midwifery to join our dynamic maternity team on a casual basis. In this role, you will work under the supervision of registered midwives to provide high-quality, woman centered care across antenatal, birthing, and postnatal settings. Your contribution will help ensure a safe, supportive, and culturally sensitive environment for mothers, babies, and families.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Midwifery who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive clinical environment. The Assistant in Midwifery will assist the Registered Midwife with the planning, provision and documentation of patient care, working within the framework of the policies of SWSLHD, the Ministry of Health and the NSW legislative and statutory requirements.
