Clinical Nurse Specialist Gde 2: $113,243.15 to $116,963.48 per annum
Clinical Psychologist: $109,247 to $133,156 per annum
Senior Psychologist: $119,206 to $129,171 per annum
Occupational Therapist Level 4: $121,658 - $124,607 per annum
Social Worker Level 4: $121,658 - $124,607 per annum

What you'll be doing
The YMHI Team Leader will be responsible for embedding effective clinical governance processes in the YMHI service. The Youth Mental Health Initiative (YMHI) is a new youth mental health service that aims to improve early access to care for 12 – 25 years presenting to headspace services with severe and complex mental health needs. The YMHI will enhance youth mental health supports in Southern NSW by improving integration across services.
The YMHI Team Leader will be part of the local specialist Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) Community Mental Health teams, with time co-located within the headspace centres. The YMHI Team Leader will work together with headspace to enhance youth mental health pathways and services to enhance youth mental health pathways and services. This will be achieved by collaborating with partner agencies, developing streamlined referral pathways and ensuring timely transition of care between the partner services.
Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists or Psychologists, or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) for Social Workers. Noting significant clinical experience in child and youth mental health is highly desirable – See Essential Criteria 1 (in Position Description) for additional information.
- Extensive experience as a clinician in providing advanced assessment and evidence based therapeutic interventions to young people and their families with severe and/or complex mental health needs.
- Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation, management and evaluation of local youth mental health service delivery to accomplish service goals and improved consumer care and outcomes.
- Demonstrated skills in partnership development and negotiation with a wide range of service providers and well-developed understanding of the interface between services.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and competence in the use of information technology systems.
- Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes with other staff including providing clinical supervision as required.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' license and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.

This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
