Selection Criteria

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists or Psychologists, or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) for Social Workers. Noting significant clinical experience in child and youth mental health is highly desirable – See Essential Criteria 1 (above) for additional information.
  2. Extensive post graduate clinical experience and knowledge in providing evidence-based mental health assessment and treatment for young people and their carers, as well as demonstrated understanding of the principles of trauma informed care and its application.
  3. Ability to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improve consumer care and outcomes.
  5. Effective interpersonal skills, highly developed written and verbal communication skills, and competence in the use of information technology systems.
  6. Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
  7. Ability to provide clinical supervision and support to staff and students.
  8. Evidence of a current unrestricted driver's licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
