What you’ll be doing:
The Sterilising and Reprocessing Services Manager is responsible for leading, developing and maintaining sterilising services and practices across the Southern NSW Local Health  District (SNSWLHD).

The purpose of the position is to ensure sterilising and reprocessing services and practices across SNSWLHD achieve and maintain compliance with all relevant standards, NSW Health Policy directives, Guidelines and other statutory requirements and develop a strong, efficient, effective and highly skilled collaborative team contributing to the total health care needs and expectations of clients, clinicians and staff and the community we serve.


Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated experience in the provision and management of sterilising and reprocessing services and practices in a health service environment.
  2. Comprehensive, up to date knowledge of sterilising technology processes, standards and statutory requirements, in particular the Australian Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Infection in Health Care.
  3. Significant experience in operational management of sterilising services in an health care setting.
  4. Experience in policy development and excellent research skills.
  5. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal and computer skills and an ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Experience with accreditation and demonstrated experience with regulatory standards and compliance in sterilising and reprocessing services and practices.
  7. Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
