Selection Criteria
Eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Advanced Certificate in Rural Generalist Anaesthesia (RGA), or evidence of accreditation with the Joint Consultative Committee Anaesthesia (JCCA), and
Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, or Fellowship of Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, or specialist qualifications deemed equivalent.
Current Rural Generalist trainees who have completed their advanced training in Anaesthesia are also encouraged to apply.
Demonstrated recent clinical experience in GP Anaesthesia.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and staff; and effective communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, and research and quality improvement.
Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases
This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
