Selection Criteria:

  1. Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as Emergency or Specialist General Physician and the ability to accept care of a variety of clinical conditions.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and provide clinical leadership of a multidisciplinary team including Nurse Practitioners.
  3. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability and willingness to partner in collaborative care models with relevant specialists.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
  6. Demonstrated understanding and commitment to all aspects of clinical governance.
  7. Demonstrated ability to consistently display a commitment to, and compliance with, and leadership in high quality Customer Service, Workplace Diversity, Occupational Health & Safety and Industrial Democracy principles, practices and relevant legislation relating to these areas and an understanding of and commitment to the organisation's values.
  8. Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases

This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
