Midwifery Sign-on Bonus
A Lump Sum sign-on bonus of up to $20,000* for 2nd year midwives and above moving from work in an NSW MM1 and MM2 location, or midwives moving from interstate. Commencement is required by the 30th September 2026.

If you do not meet the above criteria you may be eligible for RHWIS Incentives of up to $10,000*.

Cooma Maternity Unit experiences approximately 140-150 births a year, with 2 birthing rooms and 3 postnatal rooms. There is a part time Clinical Midwifery Educator to support the team with ongoing education and professional development opportunities. We pride ourselves on being a strong and supportive team and would love to welcome you on board.

What you will be doing
The Registered Midwife using best practice evidence provides women-centered maternity care in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team. Provides supervision and support for less experienced clinicians to achieve people focused quality care. 
 

Selection Criteria

  1. Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife with evidence of recent clinical experience and skills in relation to the position, and a strong commitment to maintaining professional competence.
  2. Demonstrated effective professional verbal and written communication within a diverse multidisciplinary team.
