The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our Patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.

What you will bring to the role
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated capabilities for recovery-oriented mental health care and a commitment to the development of recovery oriented approaches to inpatient mental health care
- Demonstrated ability to utilise occupational therapy assessments and interventions to support consumers’ recovery utilising independent professional judgement and seeking supervision in line with level of experience, knowledge and skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, engage in open communication, contribute to a positive team environment and actively contribute to the learning and development of others
- Demonstrated high level written documentation, computer competency and oral communication skills
- Able to participate as a member of the team in quality improvement activities, development of policies and procedures and clinical research
- Willingness to provide supervision and support to students on placement in line with level of experience
- Current NSW Driver Licence (P2 acceptable) and willingness to use same for work purposes
