About the Role

Royal Prince Alfred is the principal teaching hospital of the University of Sydney and offers speciality services from its main campus as well as from Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Dame Edith Walker Hospitals. RPAH is one of Australia's leading hospitals, providing an extensive range of diagnostic and treatment services. Its specialities include cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, cancer, respiratory medicine, neurology, liver and kidney transplants.

  

The function of this position is to provide assistance to Nursing, Midwifery and other health service workers in delivering effective patient care. This is a support role with a scope of duties that encompasses, but is not limited by, tidying, cleaning and duties associated with direct patient care.

Ideal Candidate

  • Has awareness of Infection Control principles and Manual Handling principles.

  • Able to maintain safe work practice, adhering to WHS policies and procedures.

  • Available to work on a rotating schedule, including afternoon and night shifts, across all seven days of the week.
