About the Role 

Are you ready to take your career to the next level in management of a dynamic recovery oriented mental health team?  The Mobile Assertive Treatment Team (MATT) is a tertiary-level service providing comprehensive, recovery-oriented care to individuals with severe and enduring mental illness who require enhanced support to sustain independent living in the community.

Based at Camperdown Community Health Centre, the team delivers services across Camperdown, Marrickville, and Redfern areas, offering care coordination and clinical interventions tailored to the needs of consumers. The team is multidisciplinary, including registered nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, a psychiatry registrar, and a psychiatrist.

The Mobile Assertive Treatment Team also provides specialist mental health support to individuals in identified supported housing programs, ensuring they receive the care needed to maintain their independence in the community. 

The Team Leader of Mobile Assertive Treatment Team (MATT) is responsible for the management and coordination of an integrated multi-disciplinary recovery oriented mental health services. The Team Leader will manage the development of services and processes between Community Mental Health Services and non – government, primary care, social support, justice and drug and alcohol services to ensure collaboration, connectivity, reduce service duplication and ensure appropriate support is provided to consumers.

Ideal Candidate

  • Recognised qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Clinical Psychologist and current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Extensive clinical experience in mental health, and health service management including demonstrated advanced level practice and supervision skills; service planning; implementation; and evaluation.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
