Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine. The primary purpose of the role of Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Emergency Medicine, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Emergency Department and Hospital as required.
The RPAH Emergency Department provides emergency services to adult and paediatric patients in the setting of a complex tertiary and quaternary referral hospital. RPAH is a Level 6 Trauma centre and runs an ECMO-CPR service. The Staff Specialist will be part of a busy multidisciplinary team. The Staff Specialist may also be credentialed to provide services to Balmain Hospital General Practice Casualty.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Applicants must have Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM), and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Position is currently available. In addition, applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from date of application, may be considered.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
