Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health team at Concord Centre for Mental Health. 
We are looking for a Staff Specialist Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Walker Unit and Rivendell Unit). The primary purpose of the role of Staff Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Psychiatry, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Mental Health Service and Hospital as required.
  

The Staff Specialist will provide clinical management and treatment of patients at the Walker Unit and Rivendell Unit. They will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
  
Child protection is the core responsibility of all who work in the child and adolescent mental health service. All staff are required to have detailed knowledge of and comply with policies and procedures relating to Child Protection and the NSW Health Code of Conduct. All clinicians are responsible for ensuring that identified issues are documented, escalated and action occurs as appropriate.
  
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award, and completion (or approaching completion) of the Certificate in Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (RANZCP) or equivalent.
  

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
