Unlock your admin potential in this exciting full-time Intake Officer role at Southcare. We are looking for a reliable and experienced Administration Officer interested in working as part of a supportive administration team providing a high standard of administrative services to the clinical teams that make up Southcare - Aged and Extended Care. Where you'll be working

You'll be working for Southcare, Aged and Extended Community Care which is based at The Sutherland Hospital.  Southcare hosts a large number of clinical teams that work in the community to support people to live independently at home. 


The Role
 

Provide a range of administrative and clerical support services to enable Southcare, The Sutherland Hospital to achieve its objectives in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.

Provide high standard of administrative service with an exceptional eye for detail. The Intake Officer is responsible for the provision of administrative duties supporting efficient and effective delivery of Aged Care Services, ensuring all referrals and medical correspondence is registered and delivered to the appropriate teams for action.

Selection Criteria:
 

  1. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to share relief responsibilities with other administrative staff as required.
  2. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively.
  3. Demonstrated high level of organisational skills with the ability to prioritise with limited direction or guidance while carrying out a variety of functions which may be complex in nature and require judgement and problem solving skills.
  4. Demonstrated experience in computer skills with accurate data entry skills including demonstrated high level knowledge of and experience using Windows, Microsoft Office, and Excel based software as well as extensive experience in health information systems such as iPM, eMR (CHOC) and PBRC.
  5. Demonstrated ability to ensure high level of accuracy and accountability of own work
  6. Demonstrated experience in customer service and the ability to manage distressed customers while working in a team environment.
  7. Knowledge of the range of Aged Care Services available to older persons living within the community.
