About the Role
The Burudyara Concord Forensic Rehabilitation Mental Health Unit is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility being established as part of the NSW Statewide Mental Health Infrastructure Program. Located on the grounds of the Concord Centre for Mental Health, the Unit will provide rehabilitation for 18 medium secure and 24 low secure forensic mental health beds. Designed with facilities to meet patients where they’re at and support their pathway to recovery and transition back into the community to live meaningful, purposeful lives significantly expanding access to specialised care.
The Senior Social Worker will provide discipline-specific operational oversight, supervision, consultation and training. The Senior Social Worker will participate in the development of social work services and use their experience as a skilled social worker to lead comprehensive services to patients and their families/carers. The Senior Social Worker is expected to maintain a clinical caseload.

Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Social Work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of Social Work services in a mental health or forensic mental health setting.
- Extensive experience and demonstrated ability in building and maintaining professional and therapeutic relationships through the application of written, verbal, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
