About the Role 
Canterbury Hospital is committed to providing high quality healthcare services to our local community, focused on patient and family-centred care.

The Security Department provides a 24-hour Security Service. The primary objectives of the Security Staff at Canterbury Hospital are to ensure the safety of staff, patients and visitors as well as the protection of hospital assets. 
Security Staff have a duty of care of all patients, staff and visitors to the hospital and are required to participate in crime prevention, deterrence initiatives and risk minimisation strategies.

Ideal Candidate

  • Licenced according to the Security Industry Act 1997 – Class 1 A with current Senior First Aid Certificate.

  • Ability to perform shift work on a 24 x7 rotating roster.

  • Previous experience and knowledge of electronic systems such as alarm monitoring systems, access control and CCTV surveillance.
