Royal Prince Alfred is the principal teaching hospital of the University of Sydney and offers speciality services from its main campus as well as from Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Dame Edith Walker Hospitals. RPAH is one of Australia's leading hospitals, providing an extensive range of diagnostic and treatment services. Its specialities include cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, cancer, respiratory medicine, neurology, liver and kidney transplants.
The Release of Information Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and completion of responses to all requests for information made under Chapter 16a or Section 248 of the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998. As the most senior member of the RPA Release of Information (ROI) team, the position will support the Health Information Privacy and Release Manager with quality improvement activities and staff training and education and the processing of requests for personal health information.

Ideal Candidate
- Demonstrated experience in performing medicolegal release of information duties including the knowledge of legislation and policies relevant to the release of information.
- Capacity to coordinate and respond to child protection requests for information under Chapter 16a or Section 248 of the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act.
- Ability to accurately interpret and apply patient privacy and health information policies/legislation to day-to-day decision making and to problem solve.
