About the Role
You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class, and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
The role involves providing safe, patient-centered care throughout the endoscopy journey, including pre-procedure assessment, patient education, procedural assistance, sedation monitoring, recovery care, discharge planning, and documentation. Nurses are also responsible for infection prevention, endoscope reprocessing (where applicable), equipment preparation, stock management, and participating in quality improvement activities. Teamwork with gastroenterologists, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary staff is an essential part of the role.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who has recent experience in endoscopy, perioperative, recovery, or acute care nursing. Current AHPRA registration is required, along with Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Life Support (ALS) which will be beneficial for the role.

Ideal Candidate
- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
- Commitment to person centred care and NSW Health Core Values.
- Recent experience in endoscopy, perioperative, recovery, or acute care nursing.
- Ability to work a Monday to Friday roster.
