We are looking for a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Rivendell Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Services!

This position is based at Rivendell Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Services. We offer specialist clinical assessment and treatment for children and adolescents with mental health difficulties and provide a number of different programs, including:
- Rivendell Outpatient Program: Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
- Rivendell Inpatient Programs: Lawson & Yaralla
This position is a unique opportunity to build a comprehensive Occupational Therapy service, providing evidence-based assessment, case formulation and treatments to children and adolescents 5 years up to 18 years with severe and complex emotional disturbance, including young people with a diagnosable psychiatric disorder, who have not benefited from less intensive interventions.
Treatments include Occupational Therapy specific assessments and interventions and expert mental health interventions such individual, family and group interventions. A component of the role is to develop the service approach to virtual health services including intake and assessment and, where appropriate, follow-up.
You will have an opportunity to collaborate with experienced clinicians from a range of disciplines to provide high quality care to young people and their families.
Concord Centre for Mental Health has a well-established Occupational Therapy department with a strong commitment to clinical supervision and continuing professional development. In addition to education and training specific to this role, you will have access to the SLHD Mental Health Occupational Therapy Staff Council, the Occupational Therapy Internal Education Program, and Sydney Education.
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and full AHPRA registration, with experience at Level 2 or higher.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of Occupational therapy clinical services in Mental health services including children and adolescents with a mental illness and their families and carers.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and evaluate quality improvement initiatives and/or research focused on patient/client outcomes.
