About the role
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
The Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital Fertility Unit is a unique service within the NSW public health system. The Fertility Unit is a special collaboration between the public health sector and the private health sector that allows Genea and RPA Hospital to share medical and scientific resources, and accounting services. This partnership provides affordable, quality IVF service. As this Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) position is graded as a NUM graded 1, applicants will be required to participate in clinical care, therefore, expertise and experience in fertility nursing care is required.
Ideal Candidate
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Extensive post registration experience in a relevant clinical area with clinical management experience in a tertiary/district health care facility
- Advanced communication and negotiation skills, coupled with experience in conflict resolution
