The purpose of the role is to lead and manage the systems and processes that SLHD has established for Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) Claims management, including systems for regular review of claims submitted by the VMO workforce and the policy/procedure framework and systems that support the claims submitted by the VMO workforce.

  

The Manager will be responsible for successful implementation and ongoing coordination of the Evo Vendor Management System (VMS) in SLHD. This involves working closely with SLHD hospitals, facilities and services and includes meeting the requirements of the agreed roll out of the Evo VMS and supported initiatives to improve medical locum recruitment and agency management and performance for relevant services in SLHD.

  

The Manager will support SLHD to deliver an effective and efficient VMO and medical agency locum workforce to meet patient needs, and will comply with relevant legislation, NSW Health policy and SLHD guidelines. They will be responsible for effective change management within SLHD and with medical locum agencies, ensuring continuous learning for internal users on system administration and management of agency performance.

Ideal Candidate

  •  Demonstrated high level analytical/technical data and computer application skills including the ability to manipulate, analyse and interpret data and to present complex, detailed information in a meaningful way, identify trends and issues and report risks to enable responsive service management at different levels within the Health Service.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to prepare reports, papers and presentations at a standard relevant to Boards and health policy environments, and within a complex hospital and health care environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading change management, process improvement initiatives and/or projects in complex health care settings, with demonstrated ability to develop, monitor and achieve project objectives, timelines and performance indicators.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in medical workforce management and governance, preferably in relation to VMO claims management processes.

 

A Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable) is highly desirable. The preferred applicant will be required to travel between sites as required.
