About the Role

Lead and manage the Mental Health Occupational Therapy clinical services at Concord Centre for Mental Health (CCMH), Professor Marie Bashir Centre (PMBC) and Naamuru; with a leadership role for Occupational Therapy within the Mental Health Service. This includes the supervision of staff, management of professional standards and development of safety and quality within the department. The position also provides professional supervision to other health professionals in mental health services, as delegated. The Head of Department also works with the Professional Discipline Director of Occupational Therapy and other Heads of Departments to enhance Occupational Therapy services, standards and quality across Sydney LHD.

Ideal Candidate
 

  • Must hold a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Occupational Therapy with current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist, as well as relevant post graduate qualifications in clinical leadership and/or management or willingness to undertake same.

  • Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and clinical experience in the provision of Occupational Therapy across a broad range of clinical areas in Mental Health.

  • Demonstrated ability and experience in the leadership, supervision and management of Occupational Therapists. This includes demonstrated ability to identify and lead change across the Occupational Therapy service to improve service delivery models and meet identified KPIs.

  • Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
