About the Role
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
This role is vital to the efficient functioning of MDOK. Working with the Chief Medical Wellness Officer / Director of SLHD WellMD Centre, provide leadership and support to help establish the SLHD WellMD Centre and assist in implementation, evaluation and promotion of medical staff wellbeing initiatives in Sydney Local Health District. This position will provide high level administrative support and project management to ensure that the strategic objectives of The SLHD WellMD Centre are achieved.
This role is responsible for:
- The business-as-usual operational functions of the Department, including team communications, payroll, recruitment, reporting and financial duties.
- Providing supervision to the program managers and program officers within the MDOK across SLHD.

Ideal Candidate
- Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications in a health or related discipline and extensive experience and management expertise, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills as well as the ability to lead diverse and multidisciplinary teams in achieving strategic and program objectives.
- A strong commitment to medical staff wellbeing and an extensive working knowledge of wellness programs.
- Strong demonstrated experience in establishing an integrative approach to health and wellness for all medical providers within busy and complex organisations.
