You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The Registered Nurse as a Clinical Research Coordinator at AW Morrow Gastroenterology and Liver Centre, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital is an integral member of the clinical research team with responsibilities to assist with planning, implementation, coordination, data management and reporting of clinical trials conducted within the Centre.

  

To provide person centred and evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes.

 

To assist with the ethical and medico-legal requirements of setting up and undertaking drug/device clinical trials as part of multi-national, national and local studies.

 

To ensure the safety and protection of trial participants and the integrity of trial data collected.

Ideal Candidate

  • Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).

  • Use critical thinking and problem solving to analyse nursing practice to provide safe, appropriate and responsive quality support to research trial participants. 

  • Respond effectively to emergency situations and the changing status of patients as required.

  • Understanding of ICH-GCP; privacy laws, regulatory and ethical issues in clinical research.

  • Demonstrate high level skills in planning and organisation with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines within scheduled timeframes.
