An exciting opportunity for a senior Allied health clinician to develop and implement a new multidisciplinary Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) /Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Clinic at Concord Hospital!
About the Role
For over 70 years Concord Repatriation General Hospital has had a well-earned reputation for excellence in healthcare as well as undertaking world class clinical education and research. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the Veteran community, the hospital now services the local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and beyond.
The position will lead, develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate the clinic and work closely with the specialist Neurology team and Allied health team. We are looking for someone who is an excellent leader and team player and is innovative in service development and patient care.

Ideal Candidate
- Must hold a tertiary degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy or Exercise Physiology or Speech Pathology or Social Work or Nutrition and Dietetics or Psychology that provides eligibility for full membership of the relevant professional association and/or registration with AHPRA; In addition, Clinical Psychologists must hold a Masters or Doctorate/PhD and endorsement or working towards endorsement in clinical psychology and Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 licence is acceptable).
- Advanced relevant clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of clinical services to patients with ALS/MND and patients with a range of chronic diseases including case management.
- Extensive experience and demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional and therapeutic relationships through the application of written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Extensive experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring and development of junior staff and students; and demonstrated understanding of adult learning styles and teaching methods.
