About the Role

Concord has built on its strengths of providing quality health services to returned servicemen and women and local communities, as well as undertaking world class clinical education and research.

The Centre for Education and Research on Ageing (CERA) research objectives at Concord Hospital are to improve the health and productivity of older people through research into the ageing process and to provide leadership in the education and training of people involved in the care of older people and those involved in ageing research. 

The CERA Research Projects Manager is an integral member of the CERA team who will lead and provide technical knowledge and expertise in relation to current and future research projects to CERA stakeholders. The Research Projects Manager will promote CERA research projects and platforms and will develop collaborations and partnerships within Sydney Local Health District and with organizations nationally and Internationally to maximise outcomes in research, education and translation impact.

Ideal Candidate

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant equivalent professional experience in the Health Service environment or other related field as deemed appropriate.

  • Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team on research/project management with the ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities to meet deadlines within scheduled timeframes and allocated budgets.
  • Exceptional understanding of research, ethics and governance processes, experience in preparing, submission, and managing research applications.
