About the Role
You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The Assistant in Nursing is a pivotal role in maintaining order and effective workflow of the very busy RPAH Maternal Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound Unit. They work with the Obstetric team, Midwifery team and Sonographers in providing outpatient services to patients across the state and interstate. They also in addition provide chaperoning assistance to the Charles Perkins Education Centre which forms part of some of the services provided by RPAH. 

 

An Assistant in Nursing (AIN) works within a nursing plan of care under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) and within the limits of the AIN position description and local policy and protocol.

Ideal Candidate

  • Holds HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care); or currently enrolled as a Nursing Student (with successful completion of at least two semesters) and previous experience working in an acute care facility.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or have Australian Work Rights. 
  • Ability to work and contribute as a team member.
