The After Hours Nurse Manager will work alongside the executive team to provide leadership, support, strategic direction, operational management and oversight to Canterbury Hospital. 

The After Hours Nurse Manager is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of safe, efficient, effective and evidence based clinical services within the available resources, consistent with organisational, NSW Health legislative and policy frameworks and values. The role is responsible for workforce matters such as staffing, workforce reporting and management across Canterbury Hospital. 

The After Hours Nurse Management team will work flexibly across the afterhours shifts to manage the facilities and the operational requirements of the hospital maintaining effective KPI oversight across the facilities in the afterhours space.

Ideal Candidate 
 
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Recent management experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in the relevant setting, supported by a relevant tertiary management qualification and/or work experience.
  • Demonstrated well developed leadership skills and highly developed communication skills including the ability to manage conflicts and performance issues when they arise.
  • Current or recent After Hours Nurse management experience in acute facilities is desirable.
