Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Visiting Medical Officer in Pain Medicine to join our team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital.
We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officer in Pain Medicine. The primary purpose of the role of Visiting Medical Officer in Pain Medicine is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Pain Medicine and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Pain Medicine Department and Hospital as required.
The Visiting Medical Officer will provide patient-centred care by participation in outpatient pain clinics, inpatient pain rounds, and Palliative Care ward rounds. This role also requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams for both inpatient and outpatient consultations and undertaking pain management procedures.
The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Applicants must have Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FFPMANZCA) with evidence of procedural endorsement from the Faculty of Pain Medicine.
Position is currently available. In addition, applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from date of application, may be considered.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
