About the Role
Community Mental Health Service is committed to the provision of quality health services to the mental health community. We aim to deliver mental health services which, through research and innovative commitments, sets standards that are emulated by other national and international organisations. We aim to lead through achievement and innovation in clinical practice, research, teaching, training, and management.  

The Non-Admitted Services team of the Peter Beumont Eating Disorders Service provides tertiary-level ambulatory care, including the Intensive Outpatient Program. It also delivers consultation and training to clinicians across NSW Health through the NSW Adult Eating Disorders Outreach Service.


The Team Leader will build and maintain a service working in partnership that will lead to improved health outcomes including closely liaising with services within the Primary care setting and other Mental Health Services to ensure coherent, effective, safe, evidence based, and equitable service delivery. 

This multidisciplinary team includes psychiatry, nursing, clinical psychology, dietetics, occupational therapy, and administrative staff.

Ideal Candidate

 

  • Recognised qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Dietetics or Clinical Psychology and current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership to appropriate professional association.
  • Extensive clinical experience in mental health, and health service management including demonstrated advanced level practice and supervision skills; service planning; implementation; and evaluation.
  • Extensive experience in contemporary community mental health and commitment to management and treatment of consumers with significant mental health issues and disabilities in a community setting including experience in application of the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
