Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital
We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Geriatric Medicine! The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Geriatric Medicine in inpatient, outpatient, community and Residential Aged Care settings, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities in Geriatric Medicine.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
CRGH Geriatric Medicine is a busy and innovative department providing acute, rehabilitation, outpatient and community care for older, frailer and multi-morbid patients. The Department provides high quality specialist Geriatric Medicine care, optimising comorbidities and ensuring safe and well-integrated transitions of care. Geriatricians provide care across a range of settings including inpatient, outpatient, community Telehealth and residential aged care facilities (RACFs). Although this position will be based at Concord Hospital, the role will be cross-credentialed across other Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) facilities and work at other SLHD facilities (as requested by the Clinical Director) may be required.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognised qualifications in Geriatric Medicine and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
