About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.

  

Provide senior clinical leadership within the Speech Pathology service provision including optimisation of patient/client care delivery, as well as supporting the mentoring and development of staff.

Ideal Candidate
 

  • Must hold a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology that provides eligibility for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia with experience at Level 2 or higher.
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill, and significant clinical experience in the provision of Speech Pathology.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve, apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as per of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete, and evaluate quality improvement initiatives and/or research focused on patient/client outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring. and development of junior staff and students.
  • Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical/administrative demands.
  • Excellent negotiation, decision making, and advocacy skills including collaborative stakeholder consultation.
