About the Role
You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
The Senior Social Worker provides a high quality Social Work service to patients and carers of RPAH/SLHD to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for the patients and carers of RPAH.

Ideal Candidate
- Must hold a Bachelor degree in Social Work or equivalent that provides eligibility for full membership of Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) with experience at Level 2 or higher.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and skills, and significant clinical experience, in providing social work interventions and complex case management to aged persons with chronic health and complex psycho-social factors including mental health issues, cognitive impairment, elder abuse, complex family dynamics, need for Guardianship and/or residential aged care.
- Ability to independently problem solve, apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience and skills in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring and development of junior staff and students.
