Sydney Local Health District is seeking a highly motivated Senior Resident Medical Officer (JMO) to join the Dermatology Team at RPA Hospital
What you'll be doing
This position is open to appropriately qualified candidates to contribute to the Department’s Clinical Trials activity, as well as to provide clinical management of patients with severe dermatoses such as psoriasis and eczema in the biologics and general dermatology clinics. The position is based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, but includes visits to Dubbo Base Hospital for 1 to 2 days ~ two-monthly to provide clinical management of Dubbo patients under consultant supervision. The trainee will contribute to the Department's general dermatological services, and the monthly journal club. The trainee will help co-ordinate SCORPIO sessions for Sydney University medical students, conducted 5 times per year.
The Department of Dermatology
The RPAH Department of Dermatology, in which the successful applicant will work, offers comprehensive dermatology outpatient, inpatient and consultation services to a large tertiary referral hospital.
The Dermatology service provides a range of general and subspecialty dermatology clinics including Biologics, skin lymphoma, transplant dermatology, gynaedermatology, male dermatoses and surgical dermatology. The successful applicant will need to be able to work efficiently within these clinics, and with other SLHD research staff, and communicate well with other professionals within RPAH and the community.

Dubbo Base Hospital is also a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney, with 2-day clinics for patients with complex medical dermatology conditions running every 2-3 months.
