About the Role

The Burudyara Concord Forensic Rehabilitation Mental Health Unit is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility being established as part of the NSW Statewide Mental Health Infrastructure Program. Located on the grounds of the Concord Centre for Mental Health, the Unit will provide 18 medium secure and 24 low secure forensic mental health beds, significantly expanding access to specialised care.

As part of a broader network of services delivered by Sydney Local Health District, Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network, and other partners, the Unit plays a critical role in strengthening the State’s forensic mental health capacity. With operations set to commence from February 2026, this is a rare opportunity to contribute to the development of a landmark service from its inception and shape the future of forensic mental health care in NSW.

Senior Dietitians provide clinical leadership within Nutrition and Dietetics service provision in the areas of complex mental health clients, for both inpatient and outpatient services. The position actively leads quality improvement, research and service development activities.

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics that allows eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia, with experience at Level 2 or higher.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in nutrition in mental health, at level 2 or higher, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
