About the Role

The People and Culture Manager - Major Projects, Workforce Planning and Relations is a unique and new position, reporting to the Executive Director People & Culture and focused at a senior management level. The primary function of the role is to provide leadership, strategic direction and guidance in workforce planning, change management and employee relations for district projects, commencing with the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) campus Redevelopment.

  

The People and Culture Manager - Major Projects, Workforce Planning and Relations works in collaboration with Project Directors, Managers and their Teams including those of third parties, and takes responsibility for the implementation of the NSW Health and SLHD workforce priorities in a way that optimises the success of the project.

To be considered for this position, please provide your CV along with written responses to the targeted questions below:

  1. Describe in detail your experience of leading, supporting and delivering the workforce strategy for a major project, for example such as a hospital redevelopment or large-scale organisational redesign.
  2. Describe in detail how you have:
    a) prevented unnecessary escalation of a complex matter and 
    b) achieved complex HR/IR dispute resolution which has involved/required external tribunals such as the Industrial Relations Commission.

  

Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, Employee Relations, Business, other relevant field and/or extension professional experience in human resources management at a senior level in a large diverse service industry organisation.
  • Extensive experience in providing expert technical and specialised strategic Workforce/Employee Relations advice and services at a senior level in line with legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in developing and implementing workforce and change management strategies, plans and activities for major projects and workforce relations related matters, such as capital development/redevelopment programs, large and/or complex restructures, and large recruitment programs.
