What you'll be doing
This role leads the operational delivery of dispensary, supply and procurement services, ensuring safe, efficient and timely medication management across the hospital.
• Oversee dispensary operations, stock control, procurement and supply
• Manage shortages, recalls and safety alerts with key stakeholders
• Supervise, roster and support pharmacists, technicians and support staff
• Contribute clinically through ward pharmacy activities
• Drive quality initiatives, reporting, education and continuous improvement

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Bachelor or Master of Pharmacy.
Registration in line with Award requirements: Registered as a practicing Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
 
Selection Criteria
Post registration clinical or management/leadership qualifications or equivalent skills/experience.
Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice including experience managing the provision of pharmacy services in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Standards
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to co-ordinate and develop high quality written guidelines, procedures, educational, research or business materials (with limited guidance), and to navigate organisational requirements to ensure the application of these objectives in practice
Highly effective and demonstrated interpersonal skills, including the ability to create opportunity, adapt communication styles/techniques, and translate complex information to achieve department/organisational goals and ensure a positive workplace culture
Proven ability and commitment to effectively role model, champion and promote teamwork, manage and develop staff and the ability to recognise and develop talent, build co-operation and overcome barriers to teamwork, communication and collaboration
Demonstrated skills and experience in service planning, including the identification, implementation and evaluation of initiatives to ensure continual quality enhancement and the attainment of operational and performance targets within negotiated timeframes
Demonstrated commitment to professional development, including membership of a professional pharmacy association, preferably the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia and active participation in research, presentation or publication of research findings and/or competitive grant application/acquisition
