About the Role

Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.

   

The Director, Program Delivery Office is a member of the SLHD Digital Health and Innovation executive team, reporting to the CIO, SLHD.

   

The Director, Program Delivery Office is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of SLHD digital / ICT programs and projects across SLHD through the application of best-practice, program governance, change management, reporting, assurance and benefits realisation.

   

As part of the executive team, the position will contribute to the development of the SLHD Digital Health and Innovation strategic, operational and resource plans and policies to ensure that they align with the SLHD objectives, Ministry of Health and eHealth strategies, relevant legislation and standards.

   

The role will manage program delivery of all DH & I projects and the Single Digital Patient Record ( SDPR) program stream. We are looking for a strong program manager with senior leadership experience - preferably in a health environment. This is an important role and key leadership role in DHI & I.

Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent executive management experience with a proven record of success in leading large-scale Digital/IT program development and delivery within a complex service environment, ensuring strategic alignment and business outcomes. 
  • Extensive experience leading and managing high-impact, complex service transformation programs and projects in a large Digital/IT environment, including relevant qualifications or equivalent expertise. This includes embedding IT within business operations, driving organisational change, and ensuring the realisation of business benefits. 
  • Superior organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to lead and manage highly critical and complex projects and programs. This includes meeting specified outcomes and time frames, while anticipating problems, developing contingencies and negotiating solutions.
  • Ability to work on an on call roster, has strong negotiation and budget skills. 
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable) and the ability to travel between facilities.
  • All candidates must have full working rights within Australia.
