About the Role

Royal Prince Alfred is the principal teaching hospital of the University of Sydney and offers speciality services from its main campus as well as from Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Dame Edith Walker Hospitals. RPAH is one of Australia's leading hospitals, providing an extensive range of diagnostic and treatment services. Its specialities include cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, cancer, respiratory medicine, neurology, liver and kidney transplants.

  

The role provides administration and clerical support to the manager and team, within a range of settings as part of the administration team to facilitate smooth operation of the service in Radiology. The role also assist in the Medicare activities and financial functions to maximise department revenue.

Ideal Candidate

  • Has experience working in a similar support role in a health setting environment, including reception, bookings and telephone enquiries as an effective team member.
  • Proficient typing skills and competency in the use of common information and communication technology, for example, programs for word processing, data entry, emails and scheduling. 
  • A broad understanding of health and medical terminology.
